Ed Tooley, Founder & Designer of Ratster Designs was inspired to create this one of a kind masterpiece of art utilizing two authentic ancient artifacts. Ed believes in preserving history one motorcycle project at a time and thus the Widow Mite Motorcycle was created. On the gas tanks dash plates rests two original Widow Mite coins that date back to over two-thousand years ago, 100- B.C. – 60 A.D. During this time, a small bronze lepton coin was used as currency in Judea and Galilee.

During the taxation on the temple treasure the well to do rich men were required to give only one coin. At this time a poor Widow had only two coins and gave all she had. For this poor widows generosity they named the coin the Widow Mite. It was said that this is the type of coin that purchased the frankincense and myrrh for baby Jesus!

On the primary cover rests a nail from 78 A.D. found in the Fortress of Julius Agricola built to fight the Caledonians, it is said to be the same type of nail used to crucify Christ on the Hill of Calgary. Ratster Designs team brings you the Widow Mite Motorcycle remembering the coins from the time of Jesus' birth to the nail of his death. Ratster Designs Widow Mite has been awarded over 500 1st Place wins as well as a place in the Guinness Book of World Records and Essen Germany's 1st Place International World Record.
